Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy is proud to announce the return of the “Bridge Ornament.” The 2019 ornament was created by Pat Bereskin at the 4th annual Paint Out in July. The demand for the 2018 ornament with a miniature depiction of a painting of the Interstate I74 Bridge was so great over the holidays that the Women’s Downtown Bettendorf Task Force was able to raise more than $7,200 to benefit efforts to help local families and students. The original 2018 painting was done by Quad-Cities artist Jean Johnson.
The task force exceeded its original goal and raised $1,120 for the Jefferson/Lourdes Neighborhood Christmas Project, which helps out families and seniors in need for Christmas. An original run of 155 ornaments was sold, but the ornament’s popularity put the task force to work assembling more.
Ornaments this year and last are sold at participating Bettendorf businesses including Berèskin Gallery & Art Academy, Concept Bath, Within, Frymoyer Stone & Fabrication, Tango Salon and K&K Hardware.
